Matelot sailor jumper (MARINE)
An essential piece, the sailor jumper is the garment that made SAINT JAMES famous. The authentic Matelot model is made in our workshops in Normandy, in Saint-James. It gathers the traditional elements of the sailor jumper that accompanied sailors to Newfoundland: a very tight knit, making it almost waterproof, a buttoning on the left shoulder for easy donning and keeping the neck warm, a length allowing to protect the back when bending over, and a composition of 100% untreated virgin wool.
